Cheesy Salsa (Halibut) Fillets


Thomas Bay

1 - 1 1/2 lbs. fish fillets (halibut, red snapper, se Petersburg Alaska bob's Cheesy Salsa Halibuta bass, or cod)

1/2 c. mayonnaise

1/2 c. chunky salsa (we like ours with more salsa, although this ingredient is optional)

1 c. (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

1) Pre-heat oven to 450. Place fish fillets in lightly greased baking dish. Mix together mayonnaise, salsa and cheese.

2) Spoon on top of fish.

3) Bake 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Makes 4-6 servings.

 

Variations of this recipe have been around Petersburg, Alaska for a long time.  Dennis and Toni Rogers of Alaska Sea Adventures recommended this version to Alaska Bob.
